ÉCRAN PARTAGÉ is a bilingual video game instructional guide for parents and beginners. Games are categorized by player age, platform, features, and more. The mission of this site is to help parents quickly find the information they need to improve their understanding of video games so that they can better support and protect their children in playing video games.
Handshake has given itself the mission of helping Écran Partagé by offering a completely new brand image and a logo that are completely personalized representing the parent/child relationship in the world of video games.
A NEW CHALLENGE
It was difficult to find a logo related to video games for people who do not necessarily consume this same product. We had therefore several concepts before that always left us unsatisfied.
Several different concepts and attempts, we had the idea of integrating an element of nostalgia that will remind parents of their childhood making them wish to learn more about the world of modern video games.
THE PROJECT
With the onset of the pandemic, tons of young people started playing games more and more and parents were worried about the games being played by their children. This is where Mark Shakour decided to found a platform explaining the different games in detail to reassure parents about the games they play.
We then had the mandate to produce the brand image and logo for this brand-new platform, as well as several graphic elements to complement their website.
We therefore designed a simple design guidelines explaining our procedure, the fonts used, the values that the logo represents and more to justify our decisions about it. It was in our priorities to make a nostalgic Nintendo-style logo, because parents grew up with these games, to make them feel in the right place.
